Flying Cross Farm is excited to welcome riders, trainers, family, friends, and most importantly our favorite VOLUNTEERS to our annual USEA Horse Trials on Sept 15 through 17th! Flying Cross is a privately run 100 acre horse farm in scenic Skylight Kentucky. Come hang out with cool people and even cooler horses all while giving back to your FAVORITE sport, eating free delicious food, and soaking up the sun in your brand new free T-shirt

Get your volunteer hours for MSEDA!!

We have lots of jobs to choose from, and hope that you and your friends can spare a couple hours to help us make this horse show a reality! Volunteers are truly the backbone of this sport, and we can not do it without you! All volunteers receive a brand new shiny FCF T shirt, and don't forget to stay through lunch, which is catered by our friends at Red Pepper Deli! In addition to our traditional event schedule we are offering Young and Future Event Horse Competition and Developing Thoroughbred Class on Thursday, as well as our Jumper Derby on Friday offering Starter through Preliminary SJ rounds! We are a laid back crew, wear what makes you comfortable, and plan to leave with a smile!

Check In & Prep

  • Check In: Meet us at the show office, at the top of the main driveway in front of the cabin! Please plan to arrive 30-20minutes ahead of time to allow time to check in and get to the appropriate location on the farm:)
  • Experience is NOT necessary! On the job training is always provided!! Let us know your experience level so we can make sure to give you the resources you need to have a fun, productive day!
  • Things to Bring: some things you might want to bring with you- chair, hat, sunscreen, bug spray, comfy shoes

Cross Country Fence Judges

  • Fence Judge Meeting will be Sunday, Sept 19th at 7 AM. Please plan to attend this mandatory meeting! It covers important safety information, judging guidelines, supply and radio pickup, course maps, and fence assignments! There will be AMAZING super tasty, fabulous DONUTS!!! (we aren't kidding... these donuts are REALLY GOOD and your show secretary drives to Indiana to get them at 5am just for YOU!)
  • You may drive your car out on course. We suggest bringing a chair as well so you can enjoy the weather when it is agreeable!
  • Snacks, lunch, drinks, and pony kisses all included!

Most of all, THANK YOU! Some riders dont truly appreciate the dedication and number of hours volunteers put in to making horse shows happen. We are blown away every year by your efforts and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

As always, SIT UP, KICK, AND THANK A VOLUNTEER! Go Eventing!! Go Flying Cross Farm!!
