The Middleburg Horse Trials is excited to run at the historic and beautiful Great Meadow Field Events Center in The Plains. This is our sixth year running the event at this location.  Volunteers will be given a voucher that can be used for schooling the Tuesday after the HT (weather permitting) from 8AM-1PM.

There will be daily drawingsfor prizes for all volunteers!

• June 11-12: Middleburg H.T. at Great Meadow

• August 24-28: MARS GREAT MEADOW INTERNATIONAL

• September 24-25: Old Tavern H.T. at Great Meadow

Sign up to volunteer at all three and be eligible to receive special prizes and vouchers.  These super prizes are in addition to the prizes you will receive for volunteering at each individual event, such as a tee shirt and schooling pass.

GreatMeadow has a history of three-day events that dates back to the 80s wherelegends like Bruce Davidson, Jim Wofford and David O’Connor participated inUSEF sanctioned events. After a brief hiatus, high-performance eventingreturned to Great Meadow in 2014 after the Foundation purchased the adjacentFleming Farm exclusively to run eventing competitions. After initially runninga USEF training session to prepare the US Eventing team for the 2014 WorldEquestrian Games, the Great Meadow International (GMI) was born. GMI ran aCIC3* in 2015and then later became the first venue outside of Europe to host aleg of the prestigious Nations Cup of Eventing. In 2019 the GMl ran a CCI2-S,CCI3-S, andCCI4-S and starting 2021 added a Preliminary level.
