Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Carolina Horse Park!

To Sign Up: Please click the "Event Days" tab (or date shown) above to select the day that you would like to volunteer. From there you can select from the available positions. Listed with each position, in the "information" column, are blue icons with descriptions and videos for your review. If you have any requests, comments, or time constraints, please list them in the "add comments for the organizer" section, after you click the green "sign up" button. We will try to accommodate them, if possible.

Times/Locations: Any listed times, in the "shift" column, are approximate and all check-in locations are Donovan (Volunteer) Pavilion, unless otherwise noted. You will receive a separate e-mail, days before the event, with your exact times and check-in location. This e-mail will come from "[email protected]." Please make sure your e-mail on file is up to date and check spam folders, as our e-mails have been known to end up there.. Thank you!

Please remember to Check-in and Check-out each day of volunteering.
This helps to accurately record your hours for the CHP and USEA leaderboards.

Bringing a friend or family member with you? Great! The more the merrier!
Just please let us know, when signing up, so that we can order the appropriate amount of lunches.
Or sign them up, too, and get their hours recorded on the leaderboard!

XC Jump Judges & Volunteers: If you plan to drive a vehicle to your fence, please do so cautiously, avoid the course pathway, and stick to the designated "Driving Lanes." These lanes are marked with orange rope. For those that plan to walk, we will have golf cart or vehicle "shuttle" options available, after the morning XC Briefing.

XC Jump Judge Assignments: Please know, there is a method to the madness and the assignments have been approved by multiple officials, prior to your arrival. Occasionally (& definitely for the CCI), we need to assign multiple judges to a fence for several reasons (ex. multiple fences, location, volunteer experience, etc). We will try to accommodate your requests, if any, but we cannot make changes at check-in. Thank you for understanding!

Volunteer Tip: Dress for the weather! (As predictable as it is in North Carolina..)

  • Suggested Items to Bring: Raingear, gloves/hat, extra layers of clothing, sunglasses, sunscreen, bug repellent, folding chair, stopwatch, extra pens/pencils, drinks/snacks (although they will be provided by Hospitality throughout the day)
