Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Plantation Field. Click the "Event Days" tab above to select the date you would like to volunteer. From there you can select from available positions. Please email us at [email protected] with any questions or problems in signing up, we look forward to seeing you soon at the Best.Event.Ever!

The ONLY entrance that will be open for arrivals will be on APPLE GROVE RD. ALL TRAFFIC MUST ENTER THROUGH THIS GATE to comply with COVID checkpoint requirements. The GPS address is 319 Apple Grove Road, Coatesville, PA 19320. Once you pass through the checkpoint, continue on the drive all the way up the hill. At the top of the hill you will pass through the gate between the main arena and the watch tower and immediately turn RIGHT towards the volunteer tent, there will be a traffic control person and signage to guide you. At the tent we will have all your supplies ready to hand to you in “drive-through” format. PLEASE DO NOT GET OUT OF YOUR CAR TO CHECK IN WITH US. At the volunteer check-in we will direct you where to drive next.

Every individual on the grounds MUST have a signed participation waiver. The waiver can be signed electronically at this link:

Fill in YOUR email address on the online form to have a PDF copy sent to yourself and please PRINT AND BRING A PAPER COPY OF THE SIGNED WAIVER WITH YOU. The entry checkpoint will not permit you to enter the grounds until you submit a waiver, so if you do not have a paper copy with you you will be asked to sign a new one. After you have submitted the waiver once you will be given a wristband and will not need to submit a new waiver for subsequent days.

Per USEF and local guidelines, every individual on the grounds MUST wear a mask and maintain a 6 ft physical distance from others. There will be a USEF compliance officer and a Chester County Health Dept official on grounds for most of the week enforcing these requirements and they have halted other events this season until participants on grounds are in compliance- so please help us by wearing a mask and keeping your distance! There will be extra hand washing stations, hand sanitizer, and extra masks available on grounds should you forget yours.

To limit gathering and comply with physical distancing requirements, there will be NO access to the volunteer tent this year. We will still have supplies and equipment, but to eliminate “self serve” and multiple people coming and going, only event officials and volunteer coordinators will be allowed in the tent. Please stop at the table in front of the tent and ask for help for any items you may need!

We are heartbroken to do it, but to adhere to our COVID guidelines as best we can there will be NO main lunch served. We will have prepackaged snacks and whole fruit in your volunteer swag bag, and sealed cold drinks available if you find yourself parched during the day, but we are asking volunteers to please bring their own sandwiches or lunch food. This is a temporary change for this year only- we are hoping to be back to our full hospitality spread in 2021, so please bear with us this year!

If you have volunteered at Plantation Field in the past, please wear your volunteer t-shirts! We are so sad to report that this year we will NOT have new t-shirts, but we WILL have lots of PFI themed swag. It’s not the same, we know, but nothing about this year seems to be the same and we are doing the best we can. Stay tuned for awesome new shirts in 2021!

As necessary, we assign multiple judges to each fence, this is due to multiple jumps, location of jump, experience of judges, etc.  Please don't ask to move to a different jump or to have others assigned with you to move.  There is a method to our madness!

The organizers ask that you please leave your furry friends at home.

Please bring a chair, suitable clothing and a stop watch or a watch with a second hand.

Don't forget this time of year it maybe a little brisk or damp out, please be prepared to weather changes.

The event will go rain or shine, in the past years we have had everything from rain to hail!  Vehicles are allowed on course (four wheel drive recommended).
