Welcome to the 2020 Loch Moy Farm/MDHT EventingVolunteers.com page!

Thank you so much for volunteering at Loch Moy Farm!

This year will once again bring some new and exciting things!  In 2020, Loch Moy Farm will be holding the Area II Championships (I, P, M, T, N, BN) at our MDHT USEA recognized event on October 8 - 10, 2020, along with our Classic BN3DE, NEH Series Finale and our regular horse trials (I, P, M-BN).

We will continue to hold our MD International Event (CCI-S 1*2*3* + HTs) on July weekend #1 (July 3 - 5) this year and MDHT #2 (July 10 - 12) will again be a "move up" course for competitors the following weekend.  This was very popular in 2019 and we are happy to have it again this year!

We will also be continuing our Starter Trial Eventing Series which will culminate in a Championship at the November HTs.  The starter horse trials and championships will once again be sponsored by HCS, USA Saddlery and we are so thankful to have them back.  The starters this year will switch days as to what levels are competing.  Saturdays will have Prelim (CTs), Modified, Novice, Training and Beginner Novice (in that order) and Sunday will start with Beginner Novice, go to Elementary and finish up with Intro. We will also be holding our USEA FEH/YEH/NEH Qualifiers on Sundays now during the April, May and September starter trials.

To qualify for the Starter Championship, a competitor will need to have placed 1st through 6th at the same level in at least 2 events.  At our Final starter, we will hold both championship and regular divisions.  Cash and prizes will be awarded to the winners of each division.  We also hold a team competition during this series.

We have 6 Twilight Events on our schedule for 2020 due to it's popularity.  It is again being sponsored by RBC Wealth Management.  If you have afternoons and early evenings free, this is a super fun event that runs from about 3 to 8 pm on certain Wednesdays in the Spring/Summer.

Volunteers receive great MDHT logo wear, a schooling pass (good for competition course when open, xc schooling course, show jump ring, dressage rings, indoor arena), breakfast, lunch and a post competition dinner party plus raffles throughout the day.  Join us in 2020 so we can make this the best year yet!!

**If you, as a volunteer, are mistreated by ANYONE (competitor, official, parent, coach), please call Carolyn immediately.  Or, if you witness someone being mistreated, call Carolyn immediately.  We can not do anything about situations if we are not told during the event.  We love our volunteers and want to make sure that you are treated with the utmost respect. 301-514-0111 ***
