The MORVEN PARK 2017 SPRINGHORSE TRIALS are just around the corner, April 1st and 2nd.

Volunteers are needed for both days

Being one of the premier Spring horse trials it promises to be an exciting weekend!

Please consider joining us for either or both days as a volunteer.

No experience is necessary.  Its usually a great way to see our top equestrian athletes in action.

Additional information and Briefing times will be sent out the the week prior to the event and check this page for any updates to the schedule.

For all volunteers the organizers are offering:

CROSS COUNTRY SCHOOLING PASS when all courses (except Advanced) are open

OR a XC school on the Wimert Cross Country Course (beginner novice and novice)

OR a free ring school including indoor arenas.

OR a pass for the Morven Park Mansion

For schooling or ring use, you must call ahead and schedule your time and date with the Morven Park Office at 703-777-2890.

Tentative Open Cross Country Schooling Day - Tuesday after the event (All competition courses open)

We appreciate your work as a volunteer. Without informed volunteers we cannot offer the quality event that everyone has come to expect at Morven Park.

Items to remember:

Please NO dogs on the cross course

Lunches provided to assigned volunteers only, (max of 2 jump judges at each jump cross country jump), all other friends, relatives, children are welcome, but will need to bring their own snacks, drinks, lunches.  Morven Park does not have the budget to feed everyone.

As necessary, we assign multiple judges to each fence, this is due to multiple jumps, location of jump, experience of judges, etc.  Please don't ask to move to a different jump or to have others assigned with you to move.  There is a method to our madness!!

Children under the age of 16 years of age wanting to volunteer need to be accompanied by an adult, sorry for the inconvenience.

The organizers ask that you please leave your furry friends at home.

For scheduling purposes I do need all names ahead of time.

Please bring a chair, suitable clothing and a stop watch or a watch with a second hand.

Don't forget this time of year it maybe a little brisk or damp out, please be prepared to weather changes

The event will go rain or shine, in the past years we have had everything from rain to hail!  Vehicles are allowed on course. (Four wheel drive recommended)

We will continue to try and handle most of our horse trial communication by through this website.  PLEASE NOTIFY US OF ANY CHANGE IN YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION! We are always glad to add new friends to our volunteer list! So, keep those names and email addresses coming!
